I too NormF, Spent time searching for the thread. I know that mrg asked if anyone had this ribbon and Jody said yes and then the trade happened.
I can't locate this posting and it is driving me crazy.
The cornflower blue ribbon is similar to the Navy long service ribbon or the SS loyal service 4, 8, 12, 25 year service medals. However, I'm sure that this can't be the case.

Seems like everyone who may have the answer is purpousfully not wanting to reveal this and the forum has been deleted which is fustrating since we can't learn.

    Oh well,
I am glad that you both (Jody, and mrg) have some great additions to your collection.

If that piece of ribbon is correctly priced, I will never see the funds to purchase one like it.

    Regards,
    JustinG

Oh yeah you will... see this is a classic lesson of marketing 101.....we don't know what it is, but it must be rare and valuable to trade that for it, Get it's presence known out there, hype it all up, But not too much a small amount of mystery is the secret to the recipe.... then a week it will be put it on the estand for a couple of hundred dollars, and someone will notice it and pounce on it!!!

      OK OK>>> JUST KIDDING>>>>>>
Seriously!!! what's the story I keep checking this thread almost hourly to see what the big deal is!!!

I believe Jody when he said that he got a set of oaks and swords for this.
This is not just the run of the mill piece.
Anyway, the interest is up and I don't think we will be seeing this in the estand for anytime here.
        IMO!

        Regards,
        JustinG

Actually looking forward to seeing Jody's newly acquired oaks!

              Hello,
No, this is the ribbon for the KM honor roll clasp. The ribbon that Gary got is really something special.

              Regards,
              Jody

Ok guys, that was strange. Glad you all had fun because this was confusing the p*ss out of me; I was looking and looking and it turns out I was correct in my guessing and earlier post.

A ribbon I would agree as being the most expensive would be the KM honor clasp.
The most expensive piece of cloth would in my opinion be the Sawfish small battle unit in any class.

                      Regards,
                      JustinG

                      BTW:
I will trade a cornflower blue ribbon for a set of oakleaf and swords. Mind you, this is a rare and once in a lifetime opportunity. I don't like taking a loss, but I will part with it. It will enhance your collection and become the centerpiece. Also check out my ocean front property in AZ?

                          mmm

This joke is begining to get boring. Its a piss take. I wouldn't respond guys as it only encourages them to continue this very funny discussion over a piece of ribbon. I'd quit while you are ahead before we all fall asleep.

I've got Keitel's leather blade buffer from his Heer dress sabel. 5000 euro or $7168.00 if someone wants it...or will trade with MRG for his newly acquired, ultra rare ribbon pictured above. This would be an even trade and a great opportunity to own an important part of history. Then again, perhaps Gary should hold out for an even trade on another, ultra-rare item like the Goring Wedding Sword. I actually think this would be better and Gary would end up just about even, investment wise.

Was it just me or did I see the ghostly image of Uncle Adolf in the ribbon. That must be why the ribbon has to be kept at a specific humidity level. Very nice
