embroidered U-boot, High Seas Fleet and Minesweeper?

There's an interesting thread posted by Claude Bertin in the Uniform's Forum about a KM embroidered insignia sample catalog he was offered. Folks are debating its authenticity.

Has anyone ever seen embroidered badges like these?
    Regards,

Lousy made stuff, looks oriental made.. could be French, but without provenance I wouldn't touch any..

To be clear though, when I posted them here I took them out of context. The full images and an interesting discussion going on in the original thread at http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=369960.
Fakes they may be, but conceivably "period fakes", i.e. unofficial copies made in occupied countries...
Point taken though about the lack of provenance. Who knows?
                  Regards,

                    I don´t think it´s wartime made insignias.

Norm, you've just invented a new term for shady dealers to use.
