Greg,
There are a number of things that concern me about this one. However the case looks to be ok. Is it possible to peel back the ribbon so we can see the back of the clasp?
Here is mine to compare.

One obvious difference that springs out between Greg's first post and AB's is the cut-out Hakenkreuz in Greg's which cuts out part of the shaft of the anchor -- the shaft is clear to see behind the swaz in AB's.
I have no knowledge to say whether these variations exist but perhaps someone else could comment?
Best regards,
---Norm

Here are 3 pics of the reverse. I was afraid of breaking the prongs. Hope they help!
Thanks,
Greg

KM Honor Roll Clasp
Hello,
I frankly don't care for the decoration (I don't care for the so-called variation). I don't like the prongs or the lack of detail to the award. Your case does look good from the photos.

Jody,
The Iron Cross of 1939, The Iron time 2nd edition and The German War Booty all have the KM H.R.C in a single hinged case.
Foreman's guide and Detlev's price guide have the double hinged case. That's generally accepted to be the correct configuration but in what publication does it say that the double hinged case is the correct one for the KM H.R.C.?
My KM H.R.C came from a canadian vet who picked it up shortly after the war. It's a single hinged case. I have yet to read where this set up is incorrect.

The first guys to tell me about this was Tom Schutt and Steve Wolfe. I was told that the case for these was a double hinge and some were placed in single hinge cases (Luftwaffe type).
My KM Honor Roll Clasp also came from a friend who picked it up from a Canadian veteran back in the day.

Jody
