Based on that comparison I'm not liking it. The detail in the wreath is poor at the 4 o'clock and 8. The bottom of the anchor is also not right with known examples that I have seen. The anchor is missing through the swasita. To many red flags IMO.

As requested here is my reverse H.R.C.

      Regards,
      AB.

Referring to post #44 by Greg,

Put the choice to the gods...

Get a glass of water, carefully place this piece on the surface of the water....

If it sinks.... it is BAD.

If it floats, then divine intervention has saved it... and for me divine intervention is the only thing that COULD save that piece :-(

          Best

According to Robin Lumsden, the Navy Clasp dates from 13 May 1944.

As you can tell, I have merged all the past threads on this clasp, made some modifications so it makes sense so we have it for ready reference.

Also take a close look at the round pointed needle pins with serrated effect on bends from that posted by Rob Hudspith and Andrew and the one just posted by Greg.

The piece in post #44 by Greg is a fake IMO. Case looks like it has a chance to be original.
              best wishes,

It does not ALWAYS work... I tried it on my mother in law to see if she was evil....

She floated face down for days... After a time I had to sink her with a backpack full of bricks.

I interpreted it to mean, on her own she seemed to be not evil, but with outside influence she was the devils spawn!

EVEN if this clasp were to float... I would still be very, very weary!

(In fact, you should then call in paranormal militaria tester Richard K. !)

                      Hello,
My opinion still holds I don't like the clasp that starts with post #45.
