Mint Badges
Hello Martin,
I am sorry about your badge being fake, as you now know a badge in as beautiful condition as that can't be original. So it must now be relegated to the trash heap along with my badges and the Blockade Breaker that started this thread.
I woke up this morning with such a positive attitude and now the comments by Vince have turned my world upside down.
I must now buy one of these Frank & Reif U-boat badges. Oh sure, I and most folks thought they were fake. After a 2nd look, how can they not be original? They surely show age and wear which would correspond to a badge from WWII (since all KM badges had to be worn, something we all learned this morning). Nothing mint for me anymore. The sad thing, is that most of my collection is now bad. I hope the folks who posted mint items in the thread I started in the collection/display forum http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=163668 don't read this. They will be dumping their stuff as well. Oh woe is me.
Does anyone have one of these U-boats by F&R for sale? It has to have the age of 65+ years to it.
Regards,
Jody
Just look at the lovely age on this Frank & Reif, oh how I wish I had bought one. Like a chump I held onto my mint U-boat by Schwerin Berlin, what a fool I have been.
