Not good I'm affraid when comparing to this orginal one: http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...light=schwerin . Makers mark is wrong to name one of the faults.

              Cheers,
              Carsten

Lettering does look a little fat, could be a cast copy. I had a cast copy a few years ago which look very good but the pin was soft and easily bent.

                Catch looks unusually low also
                Regards, Rob

                  Hi all,
Are you positively sure that this is a fake, based on the maker mark alone...? I have e.g. seen 100% original Schwerin Blockade braker badges with that type of lettering, including the dislocated "R" in "Berlin".
                  More input needed...!
                  Cheers,
                  Mikael

Positive, no I am not. You will have to decide. Yours is to the left, accepted good one to the right. There are differences, what do you think?

In addition, you must go badge to badge, not comparing the blockade breaker to a minesweeper. They do not necessarily match up even for the same maker like Schwerin. So do not use the blockade breaker or destroyer maker marks to identify. Use only the badge type against other exact same badge types for Schwerin.

We do not have to guess in these cases based on catches and hinges, so that makes it easier than an unmarked example.

So lets stick with apples against apples as they say. John

Now I have done a little work for you by putting a good one against yours with my photo program. If yours is good, and I am not saying it is not, please find another that matches yours and post it the same way. Side by side usually helps a lot.

Here are one from kai winkler with almost identical mm.
                            Look at both "Berlin"!

Nice photographic work. Like I said, I am not saying it is bad. John
