      Anyone???

I thought it might be a Wernstein looking at the pin, anyone have any further opinions? Did Wernstein make this type of badge?
I`ve done a search but can`t find any answers or any similar examples which is why I`m asking you guys with more knowledge!

      Best regards,
      Adrian

        Hi Adrian,

difficult call, hard to say which maker, i would tend away from Wernstein as the hinge does´nt look typical for him. I have never seen a ÜÜ marked Aux. Cruiser.
The only marked ones I can think of are Schwerin, RS and FO, I have also seen a iffy looking Juncker stamped Aux. Cr. here on the Forum.

Here's one very similar to the one posted. The dealer I got it from believes it was made by Franz Jungwirth (based on the pin).

I have seen this style of pin on quite a few different naval awards and I believe it to be good. Can't remember if I've ever seen one marked though.

            Just my 0.2p wortth

              Thanks for your replies gents.
I see Jaime Cross has a similar one on his site although he has that damn label stuck on the pin so it is a little hard to compare rear views.
              Thanks again, much appreciated,

Due to the shape of the pin I would rather say it is by Foerster & Barth, who also made other KM badges.

                Cheers, Frank

                  Hi Frank:

Have yopu ever found any evidence that they made a U-Boat Badge with diamonds marked L/21?

                    Dear Bill,

No, I haven´t. Diamond badges are out of my reach.

                    Cheers, Frank

I agree with Frank here, the pin looks identical to the F&B type. They made , I think, most of the KM War Badges and are often unmarked. If marked the mark is on the pin, an incused L/21.

I have seen one L/21 marked U-Boat badge with Diamonds but as it looked nothing like the F&B badge design, or like any known original U-Boat Badge with Diamonds, I wouldn't trust it for one moment.
