there's no doubt to it being original
there appears to be quite a bit of doubt, actually.

Accidentally offending people on the internet since 1997

"there's no doubt to it being original and by the way it was Free."

I would say there is no doubt this is a fishing sinker. even as a fake it is terrible quality.

I once had a dose of clap...it was also free.... but real ;-)

          1st pattern e-boat badge

          Hi,
in reply to various people how have commented.
          1.Christian in Dortmund,
the spelling of the makers address is correct according to the German road map it is located near Goppingen .
2.the eagle is not the same as the French versions the badge is not cast but die struck, the rear is not perfectly flat having a gentle concave,
also having looked a all other badges in life and in books i have yet to see one with umlauts used.

Something tells me this badge is koser, And if the old boy is telling the truth and did take it from a seaplane in the 40,s. Interesting.

Like all the others I don´t like the spelling + the stamp looks like it´s made up with single letters, OK for a one off, but on a production line? I don´t think so!
Front of the badge looks OK but we´ve all seen copies were the front looked ok.
Pin hinge is a bit strange, rather larger/fatter than normal for 3rd R. badges.
To many ? for my liking, even if vet obtained.
LOOKING FOR ALL ITEMS CONNECTED TO HERBERT SCHOB.
