    Hi Chet,

Thanks for posting these pics but after looking at the buntmetall example you posted I have to admit that I'm utterly and completely lost.

What ist that, a badge that seems to combine features of what I thought might be my Hymmen (post 3&4) and features of Daisy makers variant.

The eagles on your badge is a match to the one I posted in post's 3 & 4, however look at the big space between the K98 and the swas compared to mine. Also your badge features the cut-out between the K98 and the swas just like the badge in posts 7&8. The berries in between the wreathband again are a match to my badge but not to the better shaped ones in 7&8.

Further more the clawdetailing and the K98 detailing is much closer to the one posted in 7&8 then to the one in 3&4 whit which it shares the expression.

Really have no clue at all how to explain this mixture of features.

    KR

Greg, is the 2nd IAB posted an unmarked Carl Wild? I did not compare to pics, just going by memory, but the long neck seems to be what I see on CW IAB's.

        Harry,
I don't think the badge that Greg posted is a CW. True, the eagle has a "streched" neck but it doesn't have the dopey look found on a CW.

Hi Harry, I see where you were going with the CW comparison...long neck, finer rifle profile. But this badge and my CW have totally different wreath characteristics, and as Chet mentioned the Eagle's head doesn't have that clownish expression. I have done a number of comparisons between this badge and Jan's L/10 and Graemes unmarked example in the L/10 thread. Unfortunately I can't get the file size right to be able to post them. I will keep trying, but for now I am back under the impression that this badge is an unmarked L/10 . The talons and wreath characteristics being my common traits.
