OM is allegedly the maker, there is a OM marked massive IAB with these design features. The mark is the same as the one on the pilot's badge by OM.

I agree with Frank on the maker but where did the upper part of the oakleave to the right of the wreathband disappear too. On the solid zinkers it's still there

I assume this is a zinc example. Frank don't you have one too. Don't have access to my files right now but I wonder now if yours also misses that piece of oakleave and also what materiel it was made off?

I have a buntmetal silver one. Don´t think its missing the leaves but I´ll have a look this evening to check.

interesting point with the wreathband ... i didn't look for the oak leaves until your post. Hmmm .... normally the missing oak leaves would be the sign for a fake badge right ?

... or was the OM badge the template for the fake ones we know ???
