    I am working on 3465 . But how did you know I have a 0.5 IAB

        Was this really necessary to ruin a perfect badge just to amuse Frank.

        I hope you can solder all the parts back together. Once done you could start a threath in the Model Building Forum

          Hi Philippe,

          actually I don`t have to missing parts of that IAB. I just bought it to fool around with it. It had a pretty good bronce finish and I tried out some cleaning methods. Hmm now I know what I better don`t do to a IAB.

                I tried all different stuff on it. Best results with WD-40.

                But then I put it in Ballistol. WOW that took the bronce off really quick.

                But the 5 € for that IAB was a good investment on that badge to learn what not to do.

                    actually I only tested some stuff on that one IAB. And one test-IAB is not enough to say use this or use that.

                    Just don`t use Ballistol when you like a bronze IAB to stay bronze.

                    I am happy that right now none of my awards needs a cleaning. I hope I will find some more IABs which are allready ruined that I can do some more testing. But not just to figure out how to clean them, more testing about the different "coatings".

                      Hi all, I've been gone for some time and Iraq has finally caught up with the times. I'm glad I brought my IAB files with me. These are some beautiful IAB's in this thread and great job with the ID of the unknown maker!! However, there is still more then one remaining unidentified IAB with the sleek rifle and profiling to the reverse of the rifle. This has been a topic I have been researching for a year now as my first IAB was of this design. In my opinion the best design of any IAB. The next two IAB's I will post do not fall into the "OM" category, at least in my opinion, but I would love to see what you all think.

                            Hi Phillipe, I agree that your badge in posts 16 and 17 maybe the same as the one I have posted here, but I am not sold on the badge seen in posts 22 and 23 being from that same maker. There are notable differences on the reverse of that badge, for example the detailed profiling of the rifle is not the same as o n our badge. Also the wreath has at least one noticeable difference, on the reverse the fourth "hump" from the bottom right is different on the two badges. Looking at the two reverse pics again, there are many differences in particular the whole bottom left part of the wreath is different on the two badges. Also I have one more IAB with this thin stock and reverse profiling, I am having trouble resizing the pic right now as I have limited resources. However, as soon as I resolve this issue I will post it for comparison to the "OM" example that started this thread.
