My friend of mine find this relic Badge in a bazaar in Athens. He believes it is original. But wanted to know more for sure about it.What is you opinion?is it original?

Condition makes it difficult to be 100% sure. But it looks like a H Aurich, by design anyway. Hope that helps a bit. Stewy

Thank you very much.Yes the condition is not so good.It is relic. But it was cheap considering that a better badge is more expensive and you dont find one easy in Greece. It costs 35 euros. (Hope my photos helps you )

            Hi herrzark

......Let me try to address the issues with this badge as I see them. Please keep in mind that any opinion I make is my own.
            1. TR HA panzer badges have been heavily copied with rather convincing results.
            2. The dirty condition of this badge gives rise to some questions.
            3. FAKE badges, of all types, exhibit the same look when artificially aged.
            4. I see no signs of zink rot.
            5. The shiny area on the back of the swaz suggests that the base metal may not be zinc.

Now, personally, I wouldn't be comfortable making a call, or purchase, by utilizing these images. Too many unknowns for me.

I suggest that this badge receives a good cleaning with warm, soapy water and then a treatment with petroleum jelly.

IMHO, for 36 euro, it wouldn't hurt to try and bring the best out of this badge by cleaning it. Besides, I'm not a fan of patina even were it a 350 euro badge.

And photos with day light .The swazstiga behind glows only if i go near Sun light. What do you believe.???if it needs i will clean it with warm water and soap after.Although i prefer to leave items as they are.with patina etc

100% original Aurich badge, just the condition is not the best.
                      Kind regards,
                      Giel
