Whoa, where did that one come from Giel?! Gorgeous GWL in beautiful condition.

I assume you feel this is a Nickel Silver example as well?

    Beauty!

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

This GWL GAB is definitely a jaw dropper. I'm in the camp of this one being nickel silver. I own two GWL GABs, both zinc, and I always thought those twins were special....until I saw this baby. Wow.
One little trick (short of metallurgical assay testing) that I sometimes rely on to determine base metal content (nickel silver versus tombak versus zinc) involves sound....yes sound. Gently drop badges of nickel silver vs. tombak vs zinc on to a heavy plate glass (like a high end glass table). You can hear distinct differences. Nickel silver will emit the nicest sound. Try it first with coins to calibrate your ear. Silver makes a high pitched "tinkle" sound" on glass.
            Best regards,
            JJS

              Hi guys,

I also made a metal test on this GWL GAB and it was confirmed that it is 100% Nickelsilver.

What a marvellous find! This is a GAB beyond any categories, living awesomeness and pathos
