    Infantry Assault Badge

    Hello,

I'm posting this for another member.

The question is about the line/ridge that is coming out from the eagle's right armpit - is that ok?

    BR, Stefan

    Here's the back of it.

The owner of it had scrached his name in it - that has been erased in the picture.

      Hi Stefan,

Looks like an acceptable production fault to me.

I am also of Philippe´s opinion, the badge itself looks very good.

Btw, these IABs serve to confirm the Karneth GABs with the same setup. This is one variation of Karneth setups, apart from the ball hinge. One might have suspected that the Karneth GABs might have been possibly made by Adolf Scholze (because of the same ball hinge setup AS uses), but these IABs clearly exclude Scholze as a maker for the Karneth GABs, because the design of the marked Scholze IABs is so much different. I hope this was not too cryptical and served some as an interesting info.
                Cheers, Frank

And here is the same characteristic crimped setup on a Karneth GAB (Neil Stewart Collection):

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little
