No one has ever suggested home workers didn't exist -- just the opposite, that is interesting information accepted by the collecting community based upon Basti and Andreas' research and further supported by Joe's discussion with Rettenmaier's grandson.
Equally, it's apparent that not all firms used the same home workers and that not every badge made by every firm was assembled exclusively by home workers. As a result patterns of reverse setups emerge for different makers. We clearly see exclusive patterns of some reverse setups on maker marked KM badges, so it logically follows that patterns can be seen on unmarked badges as well, and sometimes correlated to other marked products by some makers.
In other words, everyone's research and observations are important and valued in this hobby to piece together useful theories with appropriate terminology. Discussion about that terminology need not get so heated, and it's important to post with the appropriate respect to one another. I thank Joe for setting the right example for us all.
Best regards,
---Norm
