    Strange BKA Opinions Please.

Good morning, this unusual BKA has cropped up and it's one I've never seen before, I wondered what the others think please ?

To me it's a fake but that's only based on what I know from what I've read ...

Any and all opinions welcome of course.

    Cheers, Ian.

    Hello Ian,

Here You have very interesting thread with this type - the 7th type of BKA by Thomas Bendixen and I think it's a good one

Interesting example of how things easily can be incorrectly passed on. According to Thomas this is not the 7th type of the BKA, but rather the 7th piece of this type that he has encountered.

        cheers
        Peter

I agree this remains one of the big mysteries in this hobby. I for sure would rather pay three times as much for a Juncker than for one of these, but I have to admit they have something special about them.
          Kind regards,
          Giel

            Hi Ian,

Please do check out the thread that Oscar linked in here, we had a good discussion on this type of APB, which was likely made by Souval. The one you show is the same one posted in that threat that was owned by Frank Heukemes.

The jury is still out on them, but for me there is more evidence to suggest these are postwar rather than wartime.

Thank you gentlemen, I disliked it from the start and after almost 40 years of studying German medals, badges and insignia it waved a huge red flag at me

              Cheers, Ian.

At $200.00, I would have one for study. Anything more than that is better saved for a known original.
