            Hi Oberst Rudel,

In my knowledge there are collector`s who believe that those semihollow pieces could be original.

            regards fafnir

That´s a difficult one! In my opinion it´s good, and I know that more than one of the German dealers hold them as original (OK, OK for what it´s worth...).
                This is the bronze grade.

                    Hi guys,

I am on the fence with these as well. As far as I know, none have been found directly from vets hands, no photographic evidence of this type in wear, nor any ground dug, etc. So that all suggests postwar rather than wartime in my opinion but not 100% definitive.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

                      Couldn't agree more with that.

IMO it has some chances to be a wartime production, BUT, I think we need solid proofs before to be sure about authenticity of a piece, as: ground dug finds, photographic evidences, and so on.
Too bad until today nothing about this type of BKA surfaced.
So, until solid evidences will surface this BKA IMO will remain a border line piece I would not be so happy to have in collection.

                          Gee,
I am certain this is the type a picker brought me a year or so ago. Everything else was real but small items. I though it was a group put together to burn someone, perhpas I was wrong and they are real? Even if they are real you should only buy it as a novelty since very few people believe in them.

IMO a good one, Frank Heukemes had one and couldn't find anything wrong with it. This is aprox. the 7th badge of this type I know of. All found in different stages of wear, repaired etc. and wartime setup.

But readily people call it a fake - call me when you find one, I will happily buy it.
