I think that this is a good badge, but not being an expert on these, I would ask for your opinions please ... Cheers, Torsten.

Hi Bruce, just rub the jelly all over and then wipe it off or leave it on the badge for a while? Personally, I do not really like touching pieces myself and prefer to just leave them as they are, unless there is something obviously wrong or dirty that needs to be fixed .... maybe, I should just leave that pleasure to the next owner?? Cheers, Torsten.

                  Hi Torsten......

.......In treating zinc-pest with vaseline, or any other brand of petroleum jelly product, the common method is to slather it on(think of your favorite bird), leave it on for 24hrs, and then gently clean it off. This arrests the on-going deterioration of the base metal.

However, should you decide to leave that process up to the next owner you will now be able to inform them of a tried-and-true method for treating the annoying and debilitating zinc-pest.

                  I hope this helps somewhat.

                  Cheers!

Is there any telling of who the maker of this PAB may have been? Cheers, Torsten.

                          Hi Torsten......

......I believe S&L is attributed to be the maker of these PAB's.

                            Thorsten,
I don't understnand, you have 14,.000 plus posts here on the forum and you cannot understand who the maker is? You are a dealer no? How about investintg in Phillipes book? It would be all so clear. You need to do your homework and figure it outl It's not that hard.

Hi Chet, nobody can be an expert at everything and I deal in all things German (Imperial, Third Reich & Cold War) and not just Wehrmacht awards. I think that I have some pretty good knowledge in certain areas but not in all. I have nearly 2000 items on my website right now and sell on average about 80 auctions per week on ebay. I give plenty of help and advice in other subforums here where I do possibly have more or better knowledge than others but PAB's are not one of them I am afraid. As far as I am concerned, I think it is all about knowing your limitations and I think that I know mine and I am not ashamed to ask others for advice that know better than me in those areas. Hope that is ok? Cheers, Torsten.
