    HI Chris: Thanks for the info...was this because the factory got bombed out and others had to start producing the badge? And if so, why do you theorize that they others started making them in scooped out form?

    Do you know who other makers where besided Juncker?

      Hi John!

      I believe that the later manufactures that replaced Juncker, were the only ones that made the Simi-hollow badges.
      I don't know who the later manufactures were.
      I also don't know for sure, why the later manufactures made them scooped out on the reverse, but I would guess that the reason was to save zinc. It seems logical to think that the scooped out areas would save quite a bit of zinc.
