          CCC Gold grade FLL

          Hello Jack,

Im not an expert in these CCC maker marked FLL ( firm of Friedrich Linden /Ludenscheid ) but there seems to be a anomalie with other known FLL products .

THe C Hook is not of the type that one normally encounters on the FLL products , also the way the pin is attached looks different towards me then known types => these are just my observations but knowing the rarity of such Gold grade CCC and the way they are faked nowadays , this would be enough for me to stay away from this one.

Just my opinion however, im sure others more knowledgable then me wil jump in

          FRiendly greetings,

            CCC FLL

            Hallo !
I think this Close Combat Clasp from Friedrich Linden is OK . Clasp with correct incrimped hinge and catch . Look at my 2 CCC from Friedrich Linden on my homepage .

This type of CCC by FLL is the first type and is found with the recessed hinge and catch.

Here's the back of my silver class...

I'm not so sure that that is a gold class though, maybe a bronze.

                    Hello,

my ccc in gold grade FLL has the known hinge and cacth system, different from this one.

your hinge is more easy to find in the minor grades, above in the bronze grade, it's the first time I see a gold with this, but it looks fine for me, the gold plating too, it has the right dark-old colour.

I would still maintain that this is not a gold class CCC but an early bronze class.

My reason for argument is this...

This is the early style FLL ccc, and the first gold CCC were awarded quite late and therefore would be the second type FLL clasps. Plus it doesn't look gold but a brighter bronze.

And yes, scans and pictures can be deceptive, due to lighting coditions, etc, so if another picture was taken in natural light, it would prove useful.

                        yes Rich,

I agree about the early modell and the colour that maybe the scan have change it.
