    GAB Mayer or Schickle

    HI

    I have this one and i bought it as a Mayer.
    But a collector friend says it could be made by Schickle ?
    Whats right boys?

                  Are you sure about this? Not sure if there was a discovery that I may have missed, so let me know. But according to Frank's book, it's either F&R or BH Mayer. The difference is not in the catch (they both can have flat stock catches) but the type of hinge.

                  Can you do top picture of the hinge, somewhat angled up? For me, that will tell.

                    Honestly, I don't have Frank's book, but I'm sure it's a good one. But, since the ISA, by Mayer has also the flaT "C", I'd say that's a better than fair assumption, especially when the ISAs with the flat "C"s are not associated to F&R. Also, the semi-hollow and solid marked F&R GABs have the round "C". I'm going primarily on the ISA comparison though.
