Hi Robert,
Yes, that is a pilow crimp IAB, maker currently unknown at this time.
Looks like some solder above the hinge, not sure. Could just be the flash on the pics, but otherwise a fine original.

You have a good eye, that is solder above the hinge. It's a very tidy repair. I'll get a shot of it...

It looks period, perhaps during manufacturing. Maybe some of the zinc cracked from the crimping process, and they saved it by soldering it. It's really hard to say since there's no finish left on either the badge or the solder in that area.
What do others think?
