Hinge is perfectly fine and textbook Wurster, but the shots of the catch confirm it is a repair.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

      thanks again, men. much appreciated.

how much does the repair mean in value terms? I figured this badge is worth maybe $300-350.

Hmmm, in that condition I don't think so. I think you are lucky to get $100 out of this one.

Tom's right. Unless you snag a rookie by chance, you'd be sitting on it a long time before you'd get +$100 for it. Condition, condition.......

Actually, a mint zinc Wurster GAB would have a tough time realizing $300.00!

A RARER brass base Wurster GAB in fine condition would probably realize $300-$350

Maybe for a dealer at retail.

Personally, I wouldn't pay $150 for a mint brass base Wurster GAB because the badge design doesn't appeal to me, but to somebody who wants all the variations (or collects early), who knows....
