              I think it has been replaced, looks very thin and the style of catch is not typical of Wurster

                  here's closer and looks pretty good to me (I've seen some gloppy solder on originals - this is quite clean and neatly done tho graeme says wrong kind - period replacement? ... btw what

                    Hi Inmicus,

                    Nice Wurster GAB, but the catch is definately a replacement IMO. The closesups you show are actually from a Kriegs Destroyer badge, not the GAB.

                            Pretty fine repair, but how strong? You gotta remember this is zinc and a small weld might not cut the mustard. Otherwise, it looks fabulous.
