    Who Made this IAB

Hey all, I have had this one in my collection for some time now and was always curious to know who the maker was. It has 100% of finish appears to be in tact on front.

The pin and hinge seem to have some sort or frosting on them? Not to sure if that is an indicator or the original finish or what.

            Hi Shane,

This is an Assmann made zinc IAB with an absolutely unique design that also exist as a hollow buntmetall and zinc version and as a late war cast variant.

What you call the frosted finish on hinge and catch are in fact the only remains of the original finish. As a result of the better alloy quality the finish only survived on these surfaces.
