you have posted two badges , 2 pics side buy side have all the charicteristics of my fake , the first badge posted , IMO i dont like sorry .yes the hinge is different on the one you have just posted , but i dont like this , the only badge posted up hear right now which look good are PETER wikings , and the GOLD posted by peter j ,

if the back of peter js looks good, i would say its a nice badge , but the ones you have posted , there is something that looks wrong , the base metal does not appear to be zink

i am not a master mind on first type , i collect 2nd type , but i would like some more imput on your badges by others because i could be wrong ,

The badge is more like a semicircle. curved along its lenggth more than sideways. if you put a litlle ball at the back of the badge it always goes into the middle'

Jack .Many times the pics migth be misleading.It is very hard to make any judgement on the 1st pattern of the badge because there is not a lot of them around. AP is the hardest badge to make any statemants on.Realy to make any opinions you have to hold it in your heand.

Being vaulted is a good sign. Fakes of the solid APB tends to be mirrorflat at the back.
You can check the vaulting by using a straight tool, like the edge of a ruler.
Stand next to a window and see how the light flows over the surface, this time without the ruler.
