All of them are good. The "bad" details on the Wiedmann ones are normal because the stricking quality of this maker is difefrent ang goes from very good to low quality.

The so called SuL with it's brass coating is very nice.
              Best regards, Andreas

yeah, they come from a good source

Ok, thanks for the info about the wiedmann, everything on it was right for me exept the bad details, once again thx.

As for the S&L one, in webers book it shows that it might be a Juncker made piece but also points to S&L, so i was curious if something has come up so the maker can be determined to 100%

                  Hi Daniel

As stated by AK...all good originals. I too, like the brass coated S&L.

Here are my Wiedmann examples to compare.

                      Hi Daniel......

                      ......First of all..nice badges!

The only subject I'll address is the question of S&L vs. Juncker. For a long time the IAB now labeled as S&L was thought by many to have been a Juncker manufactured badge. However, Frank Heukemes spearheaded some exhaustive analysis concerning this type IAB, and the conclusion pointed to S&L having been the manufacturer.

There is some very good info about this in our data base. If you feel like taking the time, try the serch function for both S&L and Juncker(separately, of course), in this Forum, then go back about 4-7 years, and you should be able to access it.

                      Hope this helps.

                          Hello Bruce

Outstanding reply my friend...Wish I would have written it.

Daniel...Please take Bruce's advice and search out the threads on the S&L...a wealth of knowledge is at your fingertips...

I can only agree, some nice IABs there, especially the S&L. I think this is the first brass-coated zinker I have ever seen.

We have since identified the true Juncker IABs, so Frank's initial research seems to be correct and that these were likely produced by S&L.

                              Hi Daniel

Nice badges, with the pick of the bunch being the S&L. It certainly has an exotic appearance and beautiful character. You have had lots of compliments on it because, as Tom pointed out, they do not show up with this type of finish

Fischer, that bronze Weidmann is stunning and hard to find.

                              regards
                              Graeme
