I dont mean to rain on the parade, but I have one i got from the vet that had the skull i posted, and i see much differences in details, daisy and more. How can the details be so off on the same badge, especially the daisy. Look at this and Ill show a few other shots for comparison.

The ribbing on most of the leaves of mine are almost U shaped, and these are totally different in design. they ...(on some leaves) do not even match to the correct areas of the oakleaves at all. Could this be a high quality ...well you know, as i looked it over, and it has so many fine differences even on canon barrell angle , details, windows, facets, veins on leaves not extending as far to the ends...that im scratchin my head wondering how this can be. These photos are old, and not very good, ill take a shot of the back for comparison of the catches.( check out the right rear cog, it has an extra spur on the one posted that started this thread). I wont be able to get the other shots till later. I do have some close ups of the leaves ill try and locate them . In the meantime , lets see what other comments pop up. Maybe we need frank to pop in for his opinion.

Hi juoneen, both badges shown here are not daisy design it has daisy on it but this is Wilhelm Deumer PAB and the difference you see is because there is different types of them.

                    regards,

                    Eddie

I just checked another one i have, and you are correct , this is not the same badge, upon closer examination the other one i have I got from a german vets uncle, is the same as this one. I will attempt to try and post it later , as i cant right now, but did notice the daisy is the same design as this one. Nice badge, glad you straightened me out. I wasn't aware of how many different daisy designs are out there. Does anybody know how many in number of the original daisy versions there really are made during the war? thanks K razor for your help.

Hi juoneen, all together would make 3 different makers that made daisy on their designs.

                          1. Wilhelm Deumer
                          2. Schauerte & Hohfeld (my favorite from daisy family)
                          3. Daisy unknown maker

                          all have multiple variants

                          best,

                          Eddie

Guys, Eddie is absolutely correct here...I don't really think we need Frank to pop in on this as the explanation has been provided...No issues with the badge I posted at all chaps, it's textbook! Enjoy!
                            Cheers, Steve
