    Bandenkampfabzeichen , the second

    hi guys,
here my second thread about this crazy badge Bandenkampfabzeichen . How is your feeling about that ?
I personally see no red flags, also the the tip of the sword blade ( under the chin of the skull ) is looking ok for me .
    Thanks for all opinions

          Has the catch been replaced?

I always wanted to inspect one of these. This is clearly the die flawed hydra type again but with the pin back but clearly made out of an other material which looks like buntmetall. I know of an other one which was sold from militaria321, and then sold to Weitze. He also listed the badge as being made out of buntmetall. Would love to hear what Jeff and Thomas have to say about this type. As Don says the catch is clearly replaced here.
            Kind regards,
            Giel

Actually Giel, I think it just has all of its finish.

Do you know how much was the price for the another one at militaria321 ? I remember one which increased incredible 2000 euros, but I´m not sure if you mean this ?

Don, the traces of the wear show no zink popping through, but the same brown tombak alike material. It would surprise me if this is zink.

The badge on 321 went for around 1350 euro, Weitze sold it for 1990 euro.
                  Kind regards,
                  Giel

I think a weight would tell us one way or another. Perhaps it is tombak coated. That would explain the good finish remaining.

I have my doubts on this one. How about some measurements.
                        best wishes

There is unfortunately no description about the measurements . Anyway, I will try to find out of the seller and also to get pictures with the swastika
