I don´t like it. Seems like soft details especially on the skull, but also on the reverse with no traces of tool marks.

This one is IMO a cast copy of the smallest BKA - the "three holer" measureing only 58,5. Its the third die I've encountered. The badge in question to me clearly shows secondary wear (wear cast over from original badge). Heres pics from the mother badge I used to own - one of the most detailed of BKA's. To me this fake is cast in buntmetall. The catch tries to imitate the original.

Its really amazing because this piece seems to be a better fake and not like all the cheap reproductions for 20 Euros.
I will try to find out the exact measurement once again , perhaps this will also help for more discussion .Comment

Don't fool yourself! The APB is one of the most heavily faked badges ever, in all degrees of quality. Forget about this badge.

APB's fakes come in all quality...from bad to good....we do not want to educate the fakers too much, but I will say something to think about...sometimes certain things on a fake are better than on an original ...if you study enough exact details of the originals you may one day get close to getting a feel for the good ones.
