Looks like a good RS with a replaced catch though.

Obverse looks ok,it has the die flaw. Don't know what marks on the reverse could be. Anyone any ideas? Stewy

The obverse looks pretty good, but for me IMO the reverse has too many question marks.

It is fine for Souval to have flat wire catches, but this one looks a little odd. I also do not like the style of hinge. The base of the hinge has very square cut corners, I would prefer to see the slightly rounded style.

And then you have the strange patterns, I do not recall seeing those on other RS PABs.

                Not for my collection.

                regards
                Graeme

I agree, the odd marks i could probably live with. But that's the first square cornered hinge i've seen attributed to this maker. Stewy

Some time ago there was a discussion on these strange marks on the reverse of some RS pab's and they were considered to be original, have this one in my files that I saved from that thread, I still think the badge is good but with a replaced catch.

                      Thanks for your help.

                      I bought 150 euro.
                      Was it worth it?

Cheers for posting that pic. That badge does not have the "issues" that the badge starting this thread has. The hinge and catch on the one you posted are textbook, and if discussing that badge we probably would not have too many concerns.

Also, for those that talk about die flaws and markings, when badges are copied those features also get copied, so they are not always a sign of originality.

Nordewin, the thread you just pointed to discusses an RS with a different reverse die and IMO a different catch, so I am not sure of your point?

To further this discussion, can you supply accurate measurements and a weight.

                          cheers
                          Graeme

NORDEWIN, can you bend your badge?
                            Kind regards,

                              bend?

                              No.

The badge is very massive and hard.
