          Hi John,

well its an original FLL CCC, that is for sure.

The gold looks just right to me as well, but that is something that you can never be 100% sure on.

I would say its a nice piece and you are lucky to have it.

Details are right for an FLL before the crack in the die occurred. For me, the gold colour is a wee bit off but that may be due to your pics.

            Cheers, Frank

In my opinion original, but not gold.

I just sold a golden CCC by this maker and the gold colour was much brighter, really "gold", if you know what I mean. This one looks more like a very pale or light bronce badge.
Perhaps the clasps looks better in real life, but to me the images show a bronce one.

                        Hello Ludwig,

Agreed, I have had Bronze pieces before that display what looks like a gold finish, BUT this one is gold IMHO. The pigment of the finish displays the character of a gold wash on a zinc piece. BUT, also pics can be deceptive if over corrected in photo shop, by lessening the blue hues of the pic being adjusted will automatically compensate with yellow. This giving a bronze pieces a goldish look. But in this example a colored background was used so that helps keep the pieces truer color honest.

                        Best Regards

Then I am happy for you. It was absolutely not my intention to bring it down.

                            John,

I think you have a winner there! Looks pretty dirty though. Here is another one just for comparance.

Hi John, your gold CCC looks good to me. I have one of these too, I posted it here a few months ago.

Hi Frank, I cannot recall reading about a crack in the FLL die? Can you tell me where to look for this?

                              Cheers, Ade .
