    Dear Ade,

This comparison between two original FLL clasps was done by Mikael Gidhagen. You will find FLL clasps with either these two extremes or anything in between. Place to look is always the handle of the grenade.

      Hi
Would this flaw to the handle of the grenade might be exclusively assoicated to the FLL 1st type or 2nd type or is encountered on both types ?
      Interesting info anyway
      Regards

        Denis:
Well, that depends on how you define "first" and "second" type , but if FLL first type is considered to be the "crimped-in hinge and catch"-type, and second type is the "soldered hinge and catch"-type, I have only seen type two clasps with this flaw (so far). However, there might be the case that this die flaw, causing the ridge, and resulting in the need for hand finishing to make the grenade's handle smooth, appeared early in the production - but that this "cosmetic activity" was considered too effort-consuming and thus abolished later...? Who knows...
