    Hhi

    Hi tdurante,

Quick question have you seen any originals with this lacquer type finish? If so do you know the maker of the badge that presents this type of finish?

    Thanks
    Kenneth

        Hi Kenneth,

Original CCCs used all different kinds of bronze lacquers, or brennlacks. The finish on this CCC looks to be like the one that Weitze currently has on his website as well as another one I just recently examined at the SOS. The lacquer color is real dark, but not necessarily bad, its just different than what I have experienced on original RS bronze clasps. While there is precedent that many makers used a variety of brennlacks, this type of finish in combination with the lack of crimps and poor fit of the pin, hinge and catch is not consistent with Souval's wartime clasps.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

          Hi

          Hi tdurante,

The reason I ask is because I'm currently debting a Flak badge that may be produce by FLL and was wondering if you had seen a CCC made by FLL with this type of lacquor. I posted a link to the thread below. If you could check it out and let me know if you've seen this type of lacquor that would be great.
