                  Hi Besslein,

                  I am not a shields guy, but both look OK to me. As far as the CCC goes, it was made using the original RS die, but IMO are not pre-1945. I have handled several of them, but the finish is odd, the pin material and fit to the clasp is very poor and the lack of crimps to the back-plate is not in line with wartime CCC production. IMO, these are the earliest reproductions Souval came out with, still utilizing their wartime dies.

                        The shields look good to me too, the Demjansk is made by Wurster (check the makermark on the left side on the back)

                          Shields do look OK so far, but as Tom says, the CCC doesn´t give you that "R.S.-feeling".

                              With nearly 2000 post most of them asking members is this original or fake why not try a bit of study yourself you may enjoy it and certainly learn about the items you are spending your money on ,just a thought
