numberbox: notice the black paint runing over the numbers, something Stan also mentioned. Also notice how small the numbershield is.

and so that you don't have to go back in the thread. My 25 right accorns, this is where i thought I could close the circle.

Notice top accorn cross hatched, lower dotted. So in a time line the 25 would proceed the 50. So far so good

Here is where it went wrong.

Accorns to the left of the number box on the bronze 50, not crosshatched but both dotted

The same on my 25, most likely dotted but completely worn out. So taken in to account that the 50 still has its dots the 50 would have been earlier. Only other explanation, a weak strike but if we start taken this in to consideration it will only set open doors for more speculation.

So what is going on here:" WHO (GB the FAKERS or BOTH OF THEM) WAS MESSING WITH THE ACCORNS AND WHY"

At this moment it is absolutely futile to try to distinguish between good and bad as long as we don't find the evolution time line.

So again it's up to you guys, I'm out of good compare material. If you don't provide me with more, the fakers win this with two fingers up their noses.

@Stan, pics or no pics please let us know whether or not your accorns are a PERFECT match.

                      Thanks

                        Hi Don

This falls within the limits of a type I apart from the wreath width without Panzer but it's not really problematic.

Time Line thought- maybe the badges were all made at same time-the numbers box 25 ,50 ,100 were added as demand was needed...

Can anyone with PAB in style: II, III or IV (or any other style then I) can tell that his badge is straight from the vet (German vet)? If “yes”, can you tell us when badge was awarded?

Or even, forget the awarding date, can someone just please tell me that his other then style I PAB is from the vet?

                              Hi Jeff,

This could never explain the difference in accorn patterns, either there was an evolution or there wasn't.

If there was it would have been the result of wear and somekind of re-working.

If there wasn't only ONE GB type is original and all the rest is crap.
