    Hi Martin,

Are you planning to post a reverse pic? Based upon the obverse I would say that it's a good scooped zinc 1 pat. Daisy in bronze with most of the finish gone.

        Good to me

Looks good to me even with with only this one side. You should post the back too. Nice find.

The reverse view is essential for this badge. Presently there is a very good fake making the rounds now based on this design.

I personally think it is too simular to the fake for comfort sake. The golden appearance of the was, the sloppy look of the reverse. Weights and measurements will tell for sure.

                    Hi Chay,

Could you post pics of your badge?

To the best of my knowledge there is nothing wrong with this badge. Although the reverse looks crapy compared to other Daisies, this is not the first badge of this type on which I have encountered this effect. IMO there has to be a production related explaination for this effect.

Phil, the fake I had of this badge had the same gold tone slick looking finish on it. We can no longer go by the gap in the turret/wreath area as they have been steadily fixing that problem. Again, only accurate measurements and weight will tell for sure unless you want to spring for time on a SEM to test composition.

                        Martin,
Did you get your badge from UK based dealer?

                          Hi Don,

If these are fakes, which I'm not willing to accept at this moment, then they for sure are very old ones.

This badge was posted on the WAF by toby about 4 years ago, same problem.
