50 year service medal w/case and pin OK?

This 50 year service award with case just came to me from an estate sale picker. Does it look ok and what would be the approximate value if I were to put it on Estand for sale or trade? Looks like an enamel pin (upside down) with it - NSKOV? Does it have any value? I don't collect either one so would probably try to trade.

NSKOV pin? Should it go with this award?

Thanks Ron, I appreciate it. Do you know what the blue and white pin is called so I can research it, and does the lack of a ring for the 50 year award hurt the value much?

                  Rob,

It is a NSKOV Honor Badge.

The lack of the ring will certainly affect the value of the award.

                  Best regards,
                  RonR

Modern ribbon rings are available ... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Medal-rin...wAAOSwwFNdmFqv ... I believe they also sell them on Militaria321 and probably elsewhere.

The fact it's a repro will hurt the value of course but at least it's all back together.

VERY nice case by the way ... those are very hard and expensive to come by.

                      Ian.

Thank you Ian for that info. Can you give me a rough idea of value as is or if I added one of those rings? I want to be able to trade for something like an M43 cap or a helmet, etc. that I could display at a museum.

IF you can find the correct size of ring and fit it without it looking too obvious probably around £200 ... the issue can be that the people who want such an award may not want one that's been messed with. Personally I wouldn't. Please see this thread for a cross with an obviously wrong ribbon ring ... http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...03#post8549703

One alternative could be to acquire a beat up 25 year award and swap the ring ?
