Eh ? I agreed with Antonio and said that Tom's Ostvolk is a 'little cracker' ... a beautiful medal being extremely rare in that it retains it's original gold finish.

If you can make an insult out of that you need to go to bed. lol

If that wasn't sarcasm; that was just baffling.

Moving on ... I hope Tom doesn't mind but here's a few I picked up myself on Friday ...

EKI unmarked but from Wachtler & Lange

          A cased '62' zinc KVKImS

and finally an Italian Knights Order of the Crown in a knackered case (no-one else seemed to want it so I paid £20 plus £5 commission) the medal itself is perfect.

          Cheers, Ian.

            Hi Ian,

All very nice additions. That Italian Order of the Crown was a super deal. Congratulations!

            Best regards,

As always you are too kind Tom.

The cased KVKIX was too cheap to leave as well (£120) … obviously the dealers were keeping their powder dry for the fine, high-end items on offer later … a cased DAAC Driver's award in Gold with a miniature on a stickpin and a cased Spain Next Of Kin Cross on a parade mount with a spare ribbon. (Pics to follow tomorrow if that would be ok ?) There were several Eagle Orders of all classes, Knights Crosses EK and KVK, Gold Party badges (inc a named A.H. presentation piece), 3 Honour Roll Spanges (1 for each service). All this about 20 miles down the road and sorted out by our old friend Adrian Stevenson.

                Ian

Cheers James … it was rude not to take it.

                          Hello my friend

Yes and no James...Beautiful stuff indeed but I find that when you're meant for a steady diet of macaroni & cheeze (with the exceptional slice of baloney once every blue moon) you are much better off staying away from restaurants that specialize in caviar & truffles, cause it aint going to happen...

                          Take care

It was a real pleasure to have these fine things there in front of me to study. Out of interest the Spanish N.o.K went for £4,500 plus fees and the DAAC £4,800 plus fees. A banquet I cannot afford … it doesn't hurt to read the take-away menu so long as you dine at home
