        ... a few more medals

A few common medals from the M.A.P.S. Museum Military Show yesterday.

        Another Czech Annexation Medal:

              Ian,

That has been the going rate for a cased Spain Cross NOK for awhile now. The mounted ones are harder to find than the unmounted ones. The cased gold Sports drviers badge with stickpin was a bargain at that price, IMO.

Hi Gary, thanks for the information … I've never even seen one before, let alone a cased one.

Nice pieces Tom, just because they are common doesn't make them any less pleasing on the eye.

                Cheers, Ian.

Love these decorations with the gold/gilt finish. My favorite is the Lippe Detmold Cross; besides the Order of the Zähringer Lion, IMO one of the most attractive of all imperial awards.

                  (Sorry for the off-topic hijack)

                    So do I James

I finally managed to land an original piece of gold of my own that landed safely today ..

Having had 2 plated second class awards (which went back for a refund) I was finally offered this example and a case for my 2nd Class.

To follow when I get half a chance but John's were accurate for the gold colour.
