    Anschluss Medal marked L/11

    Hi All,

I know, that these medals are unmarked mainly, but have found a marked piece, with L/11 Deumer code on the ring (a few threads lower a colleague has shown a piece marked "19").

For me it looks all right. Has anyone seen a medal like this? And secons question, what is the disc sewed to the ribbon back? (it's paper with metal border).

    regards
    Tomasz

      Hi Tomasz,

Looks like a very nice Anschluß Medal. Seldom seen with an LdO number stamped into the suspension ring. There are also a few Deumer-made Anschluß Medals that have the 'L/11' stamped into the rim of the medal at the six o'clock position. IMO that disc is a postwar addition and probably nothing more than someone's inventory number.

      Best regards,
      Tom

I don't know what the disc is, hard to say something about it, but the medal itself is a beauty with that mm.
