What's your reasoning on it being a fake? I'm not too familiar with SS medals

I had 3 type 1 SS 8 years Medal in my hands, only one now (it is of the my collection).

This medal in the photos seem bad made and missing finishing details. Maybe it's the bad shots, but still seems to be bad made IMO...

I believe you are correct. The ribbon is certainly junk.

SS medals are not my thing but from the photo's it looks cast to me.

Ribbon ring and jump ring look a little strange.

If it were me I would pass.

Based on these pictures only I would pass me too.
Anyway I would like to see some better pictures, these seem to be made with a smartphone and they are not good IMO.
