Hi david, the one i have in my collection is also like Terry's. However i once handled a supposedly second type and a faked second type and like i said the difference was barely noticeable. I myself like to stick to what is accepted, its just not worth the risk. But that is my opinion only, and like they say each to there own. All the best.

Chris,
I know where this one came from. Thanks for posting it. I can see definite differences between it and Detlevs declared copy. The peaks at the uprights of the N's and the 2's are different.
This would correlate with mrg's statement regards a second model and a very close fake.
Hmm,... could be.
Cheers,
David. At Rathau on the Aller, the CO of 5th Royal Tanks advanced on foot to take a cautious look into the town before his tanks moved in. He encountered one of his own officers, a huge Welshman named John Gwilliam who later captained his country's rugby team, 'carrying a small German soldier by the scruff of his neck, not unlike a cat with a mouse.' The Colonel said: 'Why not shoot him?' Gwilliam replied in his mighty Welsh voice: 'Oh no, sir. Much too small.'

Thank you all! But David please see these medals (one from the link you gave me and one from me). http://www.comail.ru:8081/~antiglobalist//5m.jpg . "M" on mine is not good and "M" from right medal is nice. Right? .

Hard for me to tell.
Both medals are of the type that I would avoid.
mrg would be better equipped than I to comment on these two.
Sorry to dodge the question.
Cheers,
