Cool, George, I really love those! I just have a Wehrmacht DA, here it is.

Sorry about the break in the theme of this thread but I had to show this to George!

    Cheers, Frank H.

Damn, George. You never do anything in a small way do you?

What is the huge 13 March all about?

      Awesome collection, by the way!

      ......But no buttonhole 1st October?

          And....

As long as this thread has gotten totally off of makers' marks, here are some images from James:

A regular mounted Prague bar and 22 mm variation:

A miniature Memel medal mounted on a chain:

A single Memel medal bar (that he won't let me have....)

awww, George...now you got me feeling bad for you.

does my buttonhole thingy have a place in your collection? PM me, we can work something out. It seems orphaned in my collection of flower war items, which are pictured below

              Mark,

What's the third ribbon on the bottom ribbon bar for?

I think it's a Bulgarian award for courage or bravery with swords. I don't know the correct name of the medal, sorry.

Bulgarian Bravery award is what I was told, too.

I think it's simply called the Bulgarian Bravery Cross. It's a sort of Maltese Cross (similar to the Bavarian Military Merit Cross) with Swords across it.

                    (George - thanks for posting).

I've had this one in my "doubt" file for a while, it's a "16" marked Memel medal. I got it at the Max in '99, what do you guys think?

There is a lot of detail to it, may be too much?

                        Hi Seba,

Of the medals I have none of them have as much fine detail as that one. Good in a lot of cases but in this instance I have to agree with your doubts. The eagle is all wrong, the body and legs are very short and 'dumpy'. The head also looks less streamlined than an original.

On my medals the flag only has the slightest hint of a lower edge at the point where the higher figure's right leg is. Your has a very defined flag (and as you say detail everywhere)!

                        How does the reverse look?

                        Graeme

Didn't Jamie Cross once say something about there being fake Flower Wars medals where the figures had distinct noses -- like on this one?

Here's the reverse, I don't remember seen anything about the noses, but I may have missed it.

The wreath is also very defined, much more so than mine. I only have one Memel medal to compare yours with.

Indeed it is. Isn't it funny how too much is not good either? Can we get some pictures to compare? I also would like to see what the fakes they sell (as fakes) look like, but haven't gotten around to buying one - anyone have good pictures of those?
