    Ribbon Bars

    Here is my collection of ribbon bars with spanges. I collect spanges and every thing that has a spange attached. The lone spange is for a ribbon bar and is 16mm. Jim

          Very nice combos you have there.

          I´d like to see the reverse of bar #3. It looks really nice with 4 long service ribbons, but the last two seems to have been added later? They are obviously less faded but also bigger. Is the metal in the bar one piece or has it been extended?

          Btw, id love to see the backsides of all the bars.

                        let's get back to life this nice thread ... my collection with spanges

                        first one from württemberg (friedrichs orden)
                        second one with unusual crown&sword for the hohenzollern's ritterkreuz and ribbons from mecklenburg-schwerin and oldenbug
                        third one from a WWI and LC veteran
                        fourth one with 2 wider ribbons and bigger spange
                        and the last one, aside, mini-ribbons and mini-spange from bayern veteran

                          forgot to show last one from my collection for austrian veteran ... and a buttonhole

                          the bar includes the "verwundetenmedaille" ribbon for WWI woundeds. It seems the germans got the wound badge and the austrians a wound medal.
