        somthing about an award ( for the Winter Hilfs Werk) within a National Socialist circle for actual service/work towards winning the war on hunger and cold in Gottingen.

        Winter help Work (WHW) was a N.S. charitable org. Seems like all nsdap org.s got involved. SS too.

            Maybe a native German speaker can help, but I've never seen the Winterhilfswerk referred to as 'Winterhilfeswerk'. Is this a correct form of the name of the organization?

              IMO it´s a fake. No german would write "Hilfeswerk". The right word is "Hilfswerk"
