Thank you for advice - I'll send it to paper-guys forum.

Both, badge and ribbon, are not original imo. The ones I handled were all stamped with razor sharp detail. The Deschler in the link looks totally different from the one posted here.

Well unfortunately i cant remember who sold it to me here on estand about 3 years ago (I have a picture of my collection with this medal in it with date April 2009), i doubt that even administrators can find him, but i must say that if all the crappy spanish volounteres medals which were posted here were confirmed as original (maybe cause lack of finish and look of usage) and now you say that this one is not original, that is just silly.

And another thing, when the medal was for sale 3 years ago, nobody mentioned nothing about not being original. And now when the thread was on estand for 2 months and over 2800 views still nobody mentioned nothing, not even a concern. And after posting UV positive ribbon, then suddenly the medal is a fake. Seems like here opinions are like dominos,...once one falls,...everybody follows.

Well afterall we can ask for opinion on other forums too

            Hi friends:
I have two in my colection that for my IMO are original both. In the left marker 1 and in the right not marker. Both are Deschler & Sohn Munchen , in the middle there is a medal of a veteran of the Blue Division.
I bought both 4 years ago in Kassel with several EK2 for Deschler &Sohn Munchen and another medals to Andre Husken and a lot of more important Dealers and colectors by them.
Sorry this is my true history but I am agree tht the ribbon is not good , the medal sold without any ribbon in a big box very old for Deschler & Sohn Munchen with EK2, KVK, etc....
            See the pictures:

This another one item bag discussion:
                    http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=266703
As you see it has the same repro ribbon.
For me there are too much questions for this set.
                    I bought it as original.
Then found the ribbon is repro.
I don't like the medal - and there are quit enough men here agree with me.
                    The "bag" is also suspicous.
                    Already sent to seller.

Many thanks to all discussion participants!

If the seller says he bought the medal 2 years ago, and we trust in their words, it must be original. The fakes comented in my other post here are three months old.
If the hardware is zink, you can be sure: the medal is good.
The modern ultra-nice copies made in East Europe are made in another alloy.
This strange spotted texture maybe in relation with the high quantity of mittel-gold laquer presents. Normally this laquer is missing when the medal had some use and has been in contact with air or light. This medal, if original have been well preserved in a paper bag for years and have never been worn.
If you give me the exact weigh... it helps a lot.
The ribbon is a fake, and there is no doubt about it.
The paper was never seen in Spain or in the international market until 2-3 years ago, when a lot of these with the medals came up to some dealers and were sold widely all around the world.
No one of these papers had been seen in the hands of the veterans. Somebody told me that this medals with the paper (without ribbons) appears in the old store of Deschler & Sohn in Munchen, in perfect condition. I have some of these medals, and are original with no doubt, but the fact that they were hidden for almost 70 years have no explanation. I have no explanation neither about this strange paper. Normally this medals were given to the veterans in a brown envelope. And one more think: All the medals manufactured by Deschler and awarded to the spanish veterans have the number "1" on the ring, and the last found haven´t it. There were some other maker for this medals in 1944 (Deumer and Steinhauer) but in this lastly found lot the paper shows clearly Deschler´s name.
It´s the first time I find one of these medals coming with paper and MM "1"
I can say any more without have the medal in my hands.

Hi Friends, Do you think that one person sell a original medal and put with this medal a paper fake, excuse me this is idiotic !!!!

Medal and badge are original and ribbon is postwar, after WWII in Spain there are not possibility to buy in Militaria shops are post war , see my examples:
In the left the Original, the others post war more early in the right.

                          Best,

No problem. Badge is on its way back to me. Buyer had a big rush to send it, before waiting for a comment which would realy count. Well he passed on a beautiful badge (nevermind the ribbon) but I'm sure it will get a new owner soon.
Komandir I suggest that you say "thank you" to all the wiseguys

So here is also a picture which will clear the date of owning it.

The badge is 100% fake and definitely not an original. Posting and selling this piece on another site won´t let the pitting and the soft appearance of this piece disappear. Selling this piece is a fraudulent action.
