      My turn

      Hey all,
Well, I was waiting for these to show up all week. 2 near mint Winterschlachts, both issued posthumously to the same soldier. The award docs are in the appropriate forum. Both in original envelopes, one MM'ed 19, the other unmarked. Ribbons original and unused. Hope somebody appreciates 'em as much as I do!

Unless it was nighttime, or the weather was bad, and you were running out of gas - then it was a sweaty nightmare, like a monkey f*ing a skunk.

        And a closeup...

Swaz's blotted out by seller, didn't see any real need to re-do the pix....

Very Nice Hank, I really enjoy "mint" awards. It gives you a feeling close to what the original soldiers felt when they got the awards!

Although I never spent a day on the Russian Front during the winter of 41/42!!! I can only imagine the hell those soldiers went through..........

          Thanks,
          Mike

            Mint - Steinhauer & Luck

Here is my marked #4 (S&L) in mint condition. This was my second piece in my collection and still one of my favorites.

Maker mark "39," Rudolf Bergs, Buntmetall. I bought this in 1969 and it hasn't changed a bit.
