    Need Ribbon ID'

Got this NECK RIBBON with a group of German items. I know the medal does not go on it, but, I'd like to ID what medal did go in this neck ribbon.
    I measures about 14 1/2" long & 1 3/4" wide.
    Thanks,
    CHUCK

Very hard to understand colour of the ribbon I presume it's green?

In this case closest, what I think it's Italian Order of Saint Maurice and Saint Lazarus, commander class. Awarded to German officers as well. But it's just my quess.

Not anything of an official nature (that I know of)......of course, it could have gone on one of those Carnaval medals or Shooting awards....however, notice that the ribbon is sewn with a "double threaded" needle (?).......something that is typically American but very un-typical for Eurpoean sewing technique...
Probably just found it's way into the lot, I'm afraid.....

I might be wrong, of course....

PS Just saw the St. Maurice reply....possible, but originally the color was as Green as the enamel arms of the St. M & St. L., could be badly faded I guess....

It's EMERALD GREEN. Similar in color to the ribbon on the Eastern Peoples Medal.

I would have to agree that this ribbon found it way into the group.

Most likely something out of a Lodge or Masonic order and like Mainemilitaria said US in Origin

The order of St Maurice and Lazarus was very high end more so than what this ribbon looks like.

Here is a good page on that order St. Maurice and Lazarud

I don't mean to be rude, but that has to be one of the most absurd things I have read on here.

Could it possibly be a WWI era ribbon???
