      It was purchased from the family. I have photographs of him with this bar in wear on his Lufty uniform and his entire military history dating back to 1904.

                        It is one of the Austro-Hungarian Empire orders/medals- impossible to say exactly which one as most were awarded on this ribbon. I cannot explain it being on an otherwise WW2 ribbon bar but it appears to have been there a long time. It may have been awarded by the former monarch (and not the state) long after WW1.
